Target Information

Bovine osteopontin (SPP1) is a multifunctional protein involved in immune responses, inflammation, and bone remodeling. It is chemotactic for macrophages, smooth muscle cells, endothelial cells, and glial cells, and promotes cell adhesion and migration. In cattle, SPP1 also stimulates Th1 type immunity and plays a role in the inflammatory response.
