Target Information

Growth hormone is encoded by the GH1 gene in cattle. The ability of bovine growth hormone to temporary increase lactation yield was discovered in the 1930s when it was first extracted from pituitary gland and injected to dairy cows.

User Note

  1. Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Avoid mixing by vortexing or pipetting. Reconstitute in ddH2O to a concentration of 0.1-0.5 mg/mL. Aliquote the reconstituted solution to minimise freeze-thaw cycles.
