Target Information
Bovine G1/S-specific cyclin-D1 is a protein encoded by the CCND1 gene in Bovines. It functions as a regulatory subunit of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), particularly CDK4, to facilitate the transition from the G1 phase to the S phase in the cell cycle. Cyclin-D1 also engages in non-canonical activities such as inducing cell migration, coordinating gene transcription, and regulating DNA damage response. Its overexpression is associated with various cancers, including breast and bladder cancer.
