Target Information
Bovine D-aspartate oxidase (DDO) is a flavoenzyme that catalyzes the oxidative deamination of D-aspartate to iminoaspartate, playing a role in the metabolism of D-amino acids. It is involved in maintaining acid-base balance and may have implications in neurodegenerative diseases due to its interaction with the NMDA receptor.
