Target Information
Bovine caveolin-1 (CAV1) is a structural protein primarily found in caveolae, which are plasma membrane invaginations rich in cholesterol and sphingolipids. CAV1 plays a role in cholesterol homeostasis, vesicular transport, and signal transduction. In Bovines, it is implicated in various physiological processes, including cellular mechanisms in the mammary gland, oxidative stress regulation, and autophagy. It has also been associated with the modulation of hepatic function and the regulation of metabolic pathways related to lipid and glucose metabolism.
