Target Information

In the veterinary field, the Borrelia Afzelii decorin-binding protein A (dbpA) is an important surface protein with high immunogenicity. DbpA helps the bacteria to attach to host tissues during the early stages of infection by binding to decorin. Additionally, DbpA is widely used in serological diagnosis of Lyme disease to detect specific antibodies in host serum.
