Rat Hepatic Stellate Cell Line-CFSC-8B is an immortalized hepatic stellate cell line, originally isolated from the livers of rats with carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced cirrhosis. In in vitro culture, CFSC-8B cells exhibit typical hepatic stellate cell characteristics, including a stellate morphology, abundant lipid droplets and Golgi apparatus, and the expression of various cytokines and receptors such as TGF-β, PDGF, and HGF.
