Rat Glioma Cell Line-C6 was established by cloning a rat glioma induced by N-nitrosomethylurea, followed by a series of alternating in vitro cultures and animal passages. When the cells grow from low density to confluence, S-100 production increases tenfold. Rat Glioma Cell Line-C6-Luc-GFP-Puro are a cell line stably expressing firefly luciferase and GFP obtained by infecting C6 cells with lentivirus.
