Target Information
The Plasmin-α2-antiplasmin complex (PAP) is an inactive complex formed irreversibly in a 1:1 ratio between the enzyme plasmin and its inhibitor, α2-antiplasmin. PAP serves as an indicator of recent fibrinolytic activity. In rabbits, the fibrinolytic-alpha2-antifibrinolytic complex may play an important role in regulating the fibrinolytic system. The fibrinolytic-α2-antifibrinolytic complex in rabbits may have an important role in regulating the fibrinolytic system, maintaining the balance between blood coagulation and fibrinolysis, and participating in disease processes such as inflammation and cardiovascular disease.
