Rabbit Insulin-like Growth Factor-binding Protein 3 (IGFBP3) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 3 (IGFBP-3) is one of six IGF binding proteins (IGFBP-1 to IGFBP-6) that have highly conserved structures and bind insulin-like growth factors IGF-1 and IGF-2 with high affinity. IGFBP3 is a multifunctional protein that regulates the activity of insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) mainly by binding to them. It not only inhibits the biological activity of IGFs, but also exerts independent effects by interacting with molecules other than IGFs. For example, IGFBP3 is able to bind to retinoic acid receptor α (RXRα) and triggers the activation of apoptosis signaling pathway through nuclear translocation. Research has shown that IGFBP-3 inhibits gonadotropin-induced ovulation, oocyte maturation, and steroidogenesis in the rabbit ovary.
