Rabbit Aortic Smooth Muscle Cells-CCC-SMC-1 are primary cells obtained from the thoracic and abdominal aorta of 2-month-old New Zealand white rabbits, by removing the endothelium and stripping the adventitia. Their purity is verified by α-SMA identification. These cells have a limited number of passages, exhibit adherent growth, and appear in a polygonal or fibroblast-like morphology.
