Tetrahydrofolic acid is a 445-Da reduced folate whose pteridine-benzyl-glutamate core serves as a one-carbon carrier; a solvent-exposed 6-aa "KVE" hapten (p-aminobenzoyl-glutamate) linked to carrier presents a fixation-stable epitope unique among folates. Antibodies to this conjugate detect THF in hepatic cytosol, erythrocyte lysate and cell culture, yielding crisp cytoplasmic granules and single-band blots without cross-reaction to folic acid or 5-methyl-THF.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
