Target Information

Rat Vanin 1 is an ectoenzyme predominantly expressed in the liver and kidneys. It catalyzes the conversion of pantothenate to 4'-phosphopantothenate, playing a role in pantothenate metabolism. Vanin 1 is also involved in the regulation of oxidative stress and cellular redox balance. Its expression is regulated by various physiological conditions and is implicated in the maintenance of tissue homeostasis. Vanin 1 is an important target for studying metabolic processes and oxidative stress-related mechanisms in rat models.
