Target Information

Rat Trefoil Factor 3 (TFF3) is a member of the trefoil peptide family, which includes small, protease-resistant molecules involved in mucosal healing and repair. This protein is secreted by goblet cells and epithelial cells in the gastrointestinal tract and is known for its role in maintaining mucosal integrity and promoting tissue repair. TFF3 contains three intrachain disulfide bonds that stabilize its structure and facilitate dimer formation, which enhances its biological activity. It is involved in various physiological processes, including immune regulation and protection against inflammation.
