Specifications
Target Information
Rat signal transducing adaptor molecule 1 (STAM1) is a cytoplasmic adaptor protein encoded by the Stam1 gene in Rattus norvegicus, mapped to chromosome 4. It belongs to the STAM family, featuring conserved SH3 domain, ITAM motifs and a VHS domain critical for protein-protein interactions. It localizes to cytoplasm and endosomal compartments, with ubiquitous expression in rat tissues and enrichment in immune cells, liver and kidney. The protein mediates intracellular signal transduction and endocytic trafficking, with conserved motifs essential for complex formation. Rat STAM1 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct interaction partners differentiating it from STAM2 and other adaptor protein family members.
