Target Information

Rat PLA2G2A is a secreted calcium-dependent hydrolase with conserved catalytic and membrane-interacting domains that maintain stable protein folding under physiological conditions. It accumulates in extracellular fluid and tissue interstitial spaces of inflammatory and epithelial cell populations. Its secreted enzymatic structure and inflammation-associated expression distinguish it from integral membrane receptors, cytoplasmic scaffold adaptors and intranuclear transcriptional regulators with streamlined single-domain assemblies and static single-compartment subcellular localization profiles.
