Product Overview
BioVenic rabbit polyclonal antibody is specific for rat myxovirus resistance 1. It is purified by protein A/G. It can be applied to WB, IHC, ICC and IP assays of rat myxovirus resistance 1.
Specifications
Target Information
Rat myxovirus resistance 1 (Mx1) is a 660-residue cytoplasmic GTPase built from an N-terminal dynamin-like G-domain, a central bundle-signalling element, and a C-terminal stalk that mediates self-assembly into antiparallel filaments. The protein harbours conserved tripartite GTP-binding motifs (P-loop, Switch I, Switch II) and assembles into higher-order oligomers upon GTP binding. Constitutively expressed in lung, liver and spleen, Mx1 localises to cytosolic granules and associates with endosomal membranes via its leucine zipper segment. Antibodies raised against recombinant rat Mx1 detect native, GTP-bound and oligomeric forms with negligible cross-reactivity to Mx2 or other dynamin-family proteins, enabling selective immunoblot and immunofluorescence analysis in rat tissue homogenates and cultured cells.
