Target Information

Rat Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 1 (MCP1), also known as CCL2, is a chemokine that plays a critical role in the recruitment of monocytes and other immune cells to sites of inflammation. It binds to the CCR2 receptor, promoting the migration of leukocytes and contributing to immune responses. MCP1 is involved in various inflammatory processes and is expressed in multiple cell types, including monocytes, macrophages, and endothelial cells. In rats, MCP1 is essential for mediating monocyte chemotaxis and is implicated in the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases.
