Target Information
Rat meteorin is a 30 kDa secreted protein whose N-terminal β-propeller and C-terminal coiled-coil promote glial differentiation and axonal growth. A solvent-exposed 14-aa "KVE" loop (aa 165-178) linking the two domains folds into a β-hairpin unique among rat neurotrophic factors, giving a fixation-stable epitope. Antibodies to this loop detect native meteorin in sub-ventricular zone, sciatic nerve and cerebrospinal fluid, yielding crisp extracellular trails and single-band blots without cross-reaction to meteorin-like.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
