Target Information

Rat Mannose Receptor C Type 1 (MRC1) is a vital endocytic receptor expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as macrophages and dendritic cells. It recognizes and binds to mannose-rich glycoconjugates on pathogens and apoptotic cells, facilitating their internalization and degradation. MRC1 plays a key role in innate immunity by mediating the clearance of microbial pathogens and cellular debris. It also supports the adaptive immune response by enhancing antigen presentation. This receptor is an important marker for studying immune cell function and inflammatory processes in rat models.
