Rat leucine rich repeat containing protein 32 (LRRC32) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the LRRC family. It features conserved tandem leucine-rich repeat motifs, a single transmembrane segment and a cytoplasmic domain critical for structural stability. It localizes to cell membrane, with tissue-specific expression in rat regulatory T cells, vascular endothelium and smooth muscle, with low levels in non-immune peripheral tissues. The protein mediates protein-protein interaction and signal modulation, with conserved motifs for ligand binding. Rat LRRC32 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct tissue specificity differentiating it from LRRC1 and LRRC2.
