Target Information

Rat interleukin 22 receptor (IL-22R) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the class II cytokine receptor family. It features a conserved extracellular cytokine-binding domain, a single transmembrane segment and an intracellular signaling motif critical for structural integrity. It localizes to cell membranes of rat intestinal epithelium, hepatocytes and keratinocytes, with negligible levels in hematopoietic tissues. The protein mediates ligand recognition and signal initiation, with conserved motifs for intermolecular association. Rat IL-22R shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct binding specificity differentiating it from IL-10R and IL-20R.
