Target Information
Rat interleukin 17 receptor D (IL-17RD) is a transmembrane receptor encoded by the Il17rd gene in Rattus norvegicus, mapped to chromosome 3. It belongs to the IL-17 receptor family, featuring an extracellular domain with conserved fibronectin type-III motifs, a single transmembrane segment and an intracellular SEFIR domain. It localizes to cell membrane, with tissue-specific expression in rat lung, kidney, intestine and immune tissues, with limited levels in heart and skeletal muscle. IL-17RD mediates IL-17 cytokine family signal transduction and intracellular cascade modulation. Rat IL-17RD shares conserved structural and functional motifs with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct ligand-binding characteristics differentiating it from other IL-17 receptor subtypes.
