Target Information
Rat IL-11Rα is a 43 kDa type-I transmembrane subunit that pairs with gp130 to form the high-affinity IL-11 receptor. The 345-residue extracellular region contains two conserved fibronectin-like domains and a membrane-proximal WSXWS motif that together create a single, rat-specific epitope at the D2-D3 junction. Neutralizing antibodies directed to this epitope block IL-11-driven STAT3 phosphorylation in uterine, splenic and cardiac stromal cells without interfering with other gp130 cytokines, enabling selective intervention in acute and chronic rat models of fibro-inflammatory disease.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
