Rat integrin alpha 5 (ITGA5) is a conserved transmembrane glycoprotein with a large extracellular domain and a short intracellular segment. It forms heterodimeric structures and prominently locates on the surface of multiple cell types. This protein maintains stable molecular folding and structural integrity under physiological conditions. Its cell surface anchoring and heterodimeric assembly feature clearly differentiate it from cytosolic, nuclear and freely secreted proteins.
