Rabbit Anti-Rat Homing Associated Cell Adhesion Molecule (HCAM) Polyclonal Antibody
Product Overview
BioVenic rabbit polyclonal antibody is specific for rat homing associated cell adhesion molecule. It is purified by protein A. It can be applied to WB and IHC assays of rat homing associated cell adhesion molecule.
Specifications
Target Information
Rat homing-associated cell adhesion molecule (H-CAM, also CD44) is an 80-95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein that targets hyaluronan, osteopontin and selectins, anchoring lymphocytes, myeloid and epithelial cells to perivascular matrices and guiding their migration along endothelial surfaces. Its membrane-distal link module and variably glycosylated stalk present unique, species-restricted epitopes ideal for antibody generation; anti-H-CAM immunoreagents detect standard and splice-variant isoforms in blood, lymphoid tissue and inflamed lesions without cross-reacting with other hyaladherins, providing a precise read-out of cell trafficking and matrix adhesion.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
