Rat HSF4 is a nuclear regulatory factor with conserved DNA-binding oligomerization domains that maintain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It accumulates in nuclear compartments of lens epithelial and multiple somatic cell subsets across organ tissues. Its chromatin-binding transcriptional structure and tissue-selective expression differentiate it from cell-surface transmembrane receptors, soluble circulating signaling factors and cytoplasmic scaffolding adaptors with streamlined single-domain assemblies and static single-compartment subcellular localization profiles.
