Rat Heat Shock 70kDa Protein 2 (HSP70-2) is a molecular chaperone involved in protein folding and stabilization. It is expressed in response to cellular stress, including heat shock and oxidative stress, and helps protect cells from damage. HSP70-2 assists in the proper folding of nascent polypeptides and the refolding of denatured proteins. It is also involved in the regulation of apoptosis by interacting with apoptotic proteins. HSP70-2 is an important target for studying stress responses and protein homeostasis in rat models.
