Target Information

Rat GLI1 is a nuclear transcription factor equipped with conserved tandem zinc finger motifs that sustain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It shuttles between cytoplasmic and nuclear compartments and exhibits high abundance in mesenchymal and epithelial cell populations. Its multi-zinc-finger DNA-binding architecture and tissue-restricted expression differentiate it from plasma membrane receptors, secreted signaling cytokines and cytoplasmic scaffold adaptors with simplified single-domain assemblies and ubiquitous distribution across all somatic cell groups.
