Target Information

Rat forkhead box protein O1 (FoxO1) is a 67-kDa transcription factor central to cellular homeostasis. It localizes to the nucleus and cytoplasm, regulating gene expression programs related to metabolism, cell survival, and stress responses. Ubiquitously expressed in rat tissues-with high levels in liver, adipose tissue, and pancreas-it modulates glucose and lipid metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and autophagy. Post-translational modifications control its subcellular localization and activity. As a key mediator of metabolic and stress signaling networks, rat FoxO1 is a critical target for studying metabolic disorders, tissue regeneration, and age-related pathological mechanisms.
