Rat Fascin is an actin-bundling protein that organizes filamentous actin into tight parallel arrays, driving filopodia and lamellipodia formation. Highly expressed in neurons, dendritic cells, and invasive tumor cells, it promotes cell migration, adhesion, and antigen presentation. Fascin concentrates at the leading edge of motile cells, enhancing cytoskeletal dynamics required for tissue invasion and immune surveillance. As a key regulator of actin architecture, Fascin is a valuable target for studies of neuronal development, immune cell trafficking, and metastatic mechanisms.
