Target Information
Rat complement component 1, Q receptor (C1QR, CD93) is a 70 kDa type-I transmembrane glycoprotein whose five EGF-like repeats and C-type lectin domain bind the collagen tail of C1q, anchoring the lectin fold to myeloid and endothelial surfaces. A solvent-exposed 14-aa "KVE" loop (aa 185-198) between EGF-3 and EGF-4 folds into a β-hairpin unique among rat C1q receptors, presenting a conformational epitope preserved after C1q binding and fixation. Affinity-purified antibodies targeting this loop trace native C1QR in splenic marginal-zone macrophages, hepatic sinusoidal endothelium, and alveolar capillaries, delivering crisp membrane rings and single-band clarity on immunoblots with no cross-reaction to CD91 or other collectin receptors.
