Target Information

Rat CX3CL1, also known as fractalkine, is a unique chemokine that exists both as a membrane-bound protein and a soluble form. It is expressed on endothelial cells and neurons, and it binds specifically to its receptor CX3CR1, which is found on immune cells such as monocytes and T cells. CX3CL1 plays a crucial role in leukocyte migration, adhesion, and signaling, particularly in the context of inflammation and neurodegenerative diseases. It is also involved in the regulation of immune responses and the maintenance of immune cell homeostasis.
