Target Information
Rat AXL receptor tyrosine kinase, a 140 kDa single-pass transmembrane glycoprotein, presents two immunoglobulin-like domains and tandem fibronectin type III repeats that clasp growth-arrest-specific protein 6. The intracellular kinase insert anchors a SH3-binding PXXP motif, coupling phospho-AXL to PI3K and STAT cascades. A juxtamembrane cleavage site releases a soluble 55 kDa ectodomain, enabling parallel detection of full-length and shed forms. Antibodies targeting the unique 19-aa kinase-adjacent peptide recognize native receptor in lung, spleen, and macrophage membranes without cross-reacting with Tyro3 or Mer.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
