Target Information

Rat ATP1B4 is an auxiliary transmembrane subunit of sodium-potassium pump complex with conserved extracellular glycosylation and membrane anchoring domains that sustain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It localizes on plasma membranes of neuronal and glial cell populations in nervous tissues. Its membrane-integrated ion pump accessory structure and nerve tissue-enriched expression differentiate it from soluble secreted ligands, cytoplasmic scaffold adaptors and intranuclear transcriptional regulators with streamlined single-domain assemblies and static single-compartment subcellular localization profiles.
