Its multi-span transport architecture and immune tissue-enriched expression differentiate it from soluble secreted cytokines, cytoplasmic signaling adaptors and nuclear transcriptional factors with simplified single-domain assemblies broadly distributed across non-immune somatic cell subgroups.
