Target Information
Rat alpha-lactalbumin is a small Ca²+-binding milk protein that forms the regulatory subunit of lactose synthase. Expressed exclusively in mammary epithelial cells during late pregnancy and lactation, it provides a precise, species-specific marker for secretory differentiation. Antibodies directed against rat alpha-lactalbumin yield clean western and immunohistochemical signals devoid of cross-reactivity with other albumins, enabling accurate profiling of mammary development, lactational performance and endocrine responses in rat reproduction and nutrition models.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
