Target Information

Rat Alpha-2-Heremans Schmid Glycoprotein (AHSG), also known as Fetuin-A, is a multifunctional glycoprotein primarily synthesized in the liver. It is involved in several biological processes, including negative regulation of bone mineralization and positive regulation of bone resorption. AHSG is also implicated in the acute-phase response and regulation of inflammatory responses. It is found in collagen-containing extracellular matrix and extracellular space, and is part of protein-containing complexes.
