Specifications
Target Information
Mouse tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, member 5 (TNFRSF5, CD40) is a 48-kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on mouse immune cells-including B cells, dendritic cells, macrophages, and endothelial cells. It binds its ligand CD40L (CD154) to activate downstream signaling cascades, regulating B cell maturation, antibody production, and antigen-presenting cell function. It plays a central role in adaptive immunity, inflammatory responses, and immune tolerance, while also contributing to tissue remodeling and host defense against pathogens. Ubiquitous in mouse lymphoid tissues and inflamed sites, it modulates immune cell crosstalk. As a key mediator of immune activation, mouse TNFRSF5 is a critical target for studying autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, and tumor immunology.
