Target Information
Mouse TTK protein kinase is a dual-specificity kinase encoded by the Ttk gene in Mus musculus, mapped to chromosome 15. It belongs to the serine/threonine and tyrosine kinase family, featuring a conserved N-terminal kinase domain with dual phosphorylation activity and a C-terminal regulatory region critical for activation. It localizes to nucleus and cytoplasm, with cell cycle-dependent expression in mouse proliferating cells and enrichment in embryonic tissues, thymus and spleen. The protein mediates cell cycle progression and checkpoint regulation, with conserved motifs for substrate phosphorylation and dimerization. Mouse TTK shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct substrate specificity differentiating it from other dual-specificity kinase family members.
