Target Information
Mouse TRERF1 is a nuclear transcriptional regulatory protein with conserved DNA-binding and cofactor-interacting domains that sustain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It concentrates within endocrine and epithelial cell populations and forms chromatin-associated multiprotein assemblies inside cell nuclei. Its multi-domain transcription-modulating architecture and tissue-restricted expression differentiate it from secreted signaling cytokines, transmembrane cell surface receptors and cytoplasmic metabolic enzymes with simplified single-domain assemblies broadly distributed across most somatic cell lineages.
