Mouse MYB is a nuclear transcription factor with conserved tandem DNA-binding domains that maintain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It accumulates inside nuclear compartments of hematopoietic progenitor and epithelial cell populations. Its chromatin-binding regulatory structure and lineage-restricted expression separate it from transmembrane receptors, extracellular secreted signaling proteins and cytoplasmic scaffold adaptors with streamlined single-domain assemblies and static single-compartment subcellular localization profiles.
