Target Information
Mouse TOR1B is an endoplasmic reticulum-resident chaperone protein with conserved ATP-binding functional domains that maintain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It mainly resides within the luminal compartment of endoplasmic reticulum in neuronal and epithelial cell populations throughout multiple organs. Its organelle-localized chaperone structure and broad tissue expression distinguish it from plasma membrane transmembrane receptors, secreted circulating signaling cytokines and chromatin-binding nuclear transcriptional regulators with simplified single-domain assemblies and limited subcellular distribution.
