Target Information

Mouse toll like receptor adaptor molecule 2 (TICAM2) is a cytoplasmic adaptor protein of the TLR signaling pathway family. It features a conserved C-terminal TIR domain, an N-terminal coiled-coil motif and protein-binding sites critical for structural integrity. It localizes to cell cytoplasm and endosomal membranes, with tissue-specific expression in mouse macrophages, dendritic cells and lung epithelium, with low levels in non-immune tissues. The protein mediates downstream signal transduction and complex formation, with conserved motifs for intermolecular association. Mouse TICAM2 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct specificity differentiating it from TICAM1 and MYD88.
