Mouse tissue factor (TF), also known as coagulation factor III or CD142, is a 33 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein that triggers the extrinsic coagulation cascade by binding factor VII/VIIa. Constitutively expressed in brain, kidney, placenta and vasculature, and rapidly up-regulated on endothelial cells, monocytes and macrophages during inflammation or injury, TF serves as the primary cellular initiator of hemostasis, thrombosis, angiogenesis and innate immunity signaling, making it an essential target for immunohistochemistry, Western blot and flow cytometry analyses of coagulation disorders, cardiovascular disease and tumor microenvironments .
