Rabbit Anti-Mouse Taxilin Alpha (TXLNa) Polyclonal Antibody
Product Overview
BioVenic rabbit polyclonal antibody is specific for mouse taxilin alpha. It is purified by protein A/G. It can be applied to WB, IHC, ICC and IP assays of mouse taxilin alpha.
Specifications
Target Information
Mouse taxilin α is a 753-residue peripheral membrane protein built from an N-terminal coiled-coil that docks the exocyst subunit Sec6, a central acidic patch that binds phosphoinositides, and a C-terminal PDZ-binding motif that tethers syntaxin-4. The polypeptide forms parallel homodimers via a leucine-zipper segment (residues 120-180) and associates with recycling endosomes, lamellipodia and the trans-Golgi network. Ubiquitously expressed in brain, lung and adipose tissue, taxilin α cycles between cytosol and membranes in a phosphorylation-dependent manner. Antibodies raised against full-length or coiled-coil fragments detect native, dimeric and phosphorylated isoforms with negligible cross-reactivity to taxilin β or γ, enabling selective immunoblot and immunofluorescence analysis in mouse tissue homogenates and cultured cells.
