Target Information
Mouse TAK1 like protein (TAK1L) is a cytoplasmic serine/threonine kinase of the MAP3K family. It features conserved N-terminal kinase domain, regulatory interaction motifs and a C-terminal extension critical for structural integrity. It localizes to cell cytoplasm and signalosomes, with tissue-specific expression in mouse heart, brain and immune cells, with minimal levels in skeletal muscle. The protein mediates kinase cascade activation, with conserved motifs for intermolecular binding. Mouse TAK1L shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct specificity differentiating it from TAK1 and related MAP3Ks.
