It localizes mainly to intracellular membrane compartments and the Golgi network in various cell types. This protein retains stable molecular conformation and structural integrity under physiological conditions. Its membrane-associated intracellular distribution clearly differentiates it from nuclear, cytoplasmic, and secretory proteins.
