Target Information
Mouse signaling lymphocytic activation molecule family member 5 (SLAMF5) is a transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by the Slamf5 gene in Mus musculus, mapped to chromosome 1. It belongs to the SLAM receptor family, featuring conserved extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains, a single transmembrane segment and intracellular tyrosine-based motifs. It localizes to cell membrane, with tissue-specific expression in mouse macrophages, dendritic cells and B lymphocytes, with low levels in non-immune tissues. The protein mediates intercellular immune signaling, with conserved motifs for receptor dimerization and downstream interaction. Mouse SLAMF5 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct binding specificity differentiating it from SLAMF1 and SLAMF6.
