Mouse signaling lymphocytic activation molecule family member 2 (SLAMF2) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed mainly in immune cells. It contains an extracellular immunoglobulin-like domain, a transmembrane helix, and an intracellular signaling motif. This protein localizes to the cell surface and forms homophilic or heterophilic complexes on lymphocytes and myeloid cells. Its immune-specific distribution and structural features clearly distinguish it from other immunoglobulin superfamily receptors.
